A misunderstanding point for EN ISO20471 safety vest

As we all know, EN ISO20471 is the standard norm for the reflective safety vest. To enter the EU market, it must have the EN ISO certification for it.

But they are one misunderstanding point between the customers. According to EN ISO 20471 standard, one of the most important part is that it requires that the fluorescent fabric area should be at least 0.5㎡and the retro-reflective area should be at least 0.13㎡ for the class 2 safety vest. The most popular design vest in EU market is the two horizontal safety vest, as this design is simple and price is very competitive. Then it comes a problem. Many customers have their own sizes, but it usually cannot meet the EN ISO 20471 Class 2 standard, although the fabric and reflective tape can meet the EN ISO 20471 standard, but the ready-garment cannot meet it. Because the reflective area cannot reach 0.13㎡. So for the two horizontal safety vests, if customers want to be EN ISO 20471 Class 2 standard, then the chest width must be at least 65CM. But sometimes, for security reason, we usually suggest 66CM. So the size we usually recommend 66*68CM.
