Night walkers are required to wear reflective device in Russia

Road accidents happen more and more frequently in recent years. Pedestrian accidents at night have already caused great concern to the general public. In an attempt to keep them safe from road accidents, pedestrian are now being required to wear reflective safety vest in Russia.

When you hang out on the street, you can see our traffic police, cleaning workers, construction workers etc wearing a high visibility vest with reflective tape. The reason why they wear it even in hot weather is because that it can enhance the high visibility. In this way, it can give a warning signal to the far away drivers to remind them to be careful especially at night and rainy days. So some people advocate that night walkers should be treated like the street workers, suggesting wearing high visibility apparel instead of the dark color clothing. And this proposal is highly welcomed by the people. That’s why the Russia government want to set up a new regulation for the night walkers and the law is about to take effect. In the future, people who don’t take a safety gear with them at night will be fined.
