Riding without reflective equipment can be the killer

Another tragic death happened in the United States because of no wearing high visibility clothing or reflective accessories.

According to Watson, on Sunday, June, 14, 2015, a 61 years old man called Earl Lee Rhodes, as the bicyclist, was struck by a car, and been killed. A motorist passed there when the crash occurred, and he called 911 staying at the scene.

The 21-year-old driver of the car told police that he did not see the victim and his bicycle, since the area he was riding does not have street lights. The police also found that the victim was not wearing any reflective clothing or have any reflective tape on his bicycle.

Police said that it now seems the man’s inappropriate clothing and the fact he was riding in a dark road were the mainly significant contributors to the crash. The bicyclist was unresponsive when the police arrived. He died at the scene. The alcohol was not a factor in this car crash, the Police said.
