Wellness tips for Men Health Month
Delaware Public Health celebrates Men's Health Month in June. The purpose of Men's Health Month is to heighten the awareness of preventable health problems and encourage early detection and treatment of disease among men and boys. Meanwhile, it also emphasizes the importance of reflective clothing. This month gives health providers, public policy makers, the media, and individuals an opportunity to encourage men and boys to seek regular medical advice and early treatment for disease and injury. The response has been overwhelming with thousands of awareness activities in USA and around the globe.
The safety requirements for motor vehicle drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians are also listed in the wellness tips from Public Health which said that men should be smart on the roads. When driving to riding in a motor vehicle, wear seat belts and use car sears. Drivers should be responsible to themselves. Never text or be under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Bicyclists should wear bike helmets and follow laws. Pedestrians should wear clothing with reflective tape or Hi-vis clothing and cross at cross walks.
The Public Health also told the public in this Men’s Health Month celebration that if health has been on the back burner, individuals need to change their attitudes toward healing and take better care of themselves. Men should boost awareness of their other ways to improve health so they can age well without experiencing preventable health hardships.
