Truck drivers are required to wear high visibility clothing
Tow truck drivers who are working and exposed to moving motor vehicle traffic are required to wear high visibility clothing by Minnesota Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA.). People who don’t obey this rule will be fined.
This high visibility clothing can be a class 2 or class 3 safety vests. Because of this law, many car stores begin to purchase safety vests in mass quantity and plan to give the safety vest to their customers as a nice gift. The popular design vests among customers are the two horizontal and two vertical design vests and another design safety vest with contrasting reflective tape. Because these design vests are cheap with good quality. What’s more, it is very light weight and breathable, for the sake of their safety, OSHA has asked the truck drivers to wear this safety clothing for the sake of their safety. As we all know, truck drivers usually need go out and check the construction situation, not just stay in the truck. So it is really necessary for them to wear this kind safety clothing, especially at night.
I think not only truck drivers need wear a reflective vest. Night runners, cyclist or people who are always exposed outside should need this kind of safety clothing too.
